Session on: PolymerNanoscience

Polymernanoscience is the study and application of nanoscience topolymer-nanoparticle matricescalled Polymer nanocomposites (PNC) consist ofa polymer or copolymer having nanoparticles ornanofillers dispersed in the polymer matrix. This varies with different shapes(e.g., platelets, fibres, spheroids), but at least one dimension must be in therange of 1–50 nm. It requires controlled mixing/compounding andstabilization of the dispersion phase.

Session on: Nanoscience andeveryday life

Nanotechnology isthe combination of science, technology and engineering conducted at the nanoscale,of 1 to 100 nanometers. Though it is a new science, it already has numerousapplications in everyday life, ranging from clothes to computer hard drives, consumer goods to medicine to improving the environment and plays an importantrole in the manufacture of numerous products that we use in our everyday life.
