Nanotechnology is the manipulation of materials of macro scale level into a nanoscale level or atomic size ranging between (1-100 nm). Nanoscience and nanotechnology are the combined study and application of extremely small particles at the nanoscale level. Nanotechnology is used across all fields such as chemistry, biology, physics, materials science, engineering and medicine.

Session on: Nanoparticles

Nanoparticles are microscopic particles between in size 1 and 100 nanometres (nm) with a surrounding interfacial layer. The term "nanoparticle" usually refers to inorganic materials and not applied to individual molecules. These interfacial layers are an integral part of nanoscale matter and typically consists of ions, inorganic and organic molecules.
