Prof. Bharat Bhushan is currently the Ohio Eminent Scholar and The Howard D. Winbigler Professor and Director of Nanoprobe Lab for Bio- & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics, Dept. of Mechanical and Aerospace Eng., and Graduate Res. Faculty Advisor, Dept. of Mater. Sci.and Eng., Affiliated Faculty, Battelle Center for Science & Technology Policy, John College of Public Affairs, Ohio State University. He developed courses in nanotribology, bio/nanotechnology, and Science and Public Policy, and reorganized mechanical design and materials science courses. Assisted in Creation of an Undergraduate Minor in Science, Engineering, Innovation, and Public Policy between College of Eng. and John Glenn School of Public Affairs. He authored 8 scientific books, 90+ handbook chapters, 800+ scientific papers. Also edited more than 50 books and holds more than 25 U.S. and Foreign Patents.

Alexander Seifalian, Professor of Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine worked at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London for over 26 years, during this time he spent a period of time at Harvard Medical School looking at caused of cardiovascular diseases and a year at Johns Hopkins Medical School looking at treatment of liver. He published more than 647 peer-reviewed research papers, and registered 14 UK and International patents. He is currently CEO of NanoRegMed Ltd, working on the commercialisation of his research. During his career Prof Seifalian has led and managed many large projects with successful outcomes in terms of commercialisation and translation to patients. In 2007 he was awarded the top prize in the field for the development of nanomaterials and technologies for cardiovascular implants by Medical Future Innovation, and in 2009 he received a Business Innovation Award from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). He was the European Life Science Awards’ Winner of Most Innovative New Product 2012 for the “synthetic trachea”. Prof Seifalian won the Nanosmat Prize in 2013 and in 2016 he received the Distinguish Research Award in recognition of his outstanding work in regenerative medicine from Heals Healthy Life Extension Society. His achievements include development of the world first synthetic trachea, lacrimal drainage conduit, and vascular bypass graft using nanocomposite materials, bioactive molecules and stem cell technology. He has over 15,000 media report from his achievement, include BBC, ITV, WSJ, CNN, and many more. Currently he is working on development and commercialisation of human organs using graphene based nanocomposite materials and stem cells technology.
Professor Dimitris Drikakis is the Vice President of Global Partnerships at the University of Nicosia (November 2018). Prior to that, he was Executive Dean (Engineering) and Executive Director of Global Partnerships at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow; Head of the Institute of Aerospace Sciences at Cranfield University; Professor at the Queen Mary University of London, as well as held academic appointments at the University of Manchester, and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Prof. Drikakis expertise is in fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and nanotechnology (fluid/material interface). He is active in both fundamental and applied research, including technology transfer to industry and research establishments.
Prof. Martin Snowden is Pro Vice-Chancellor International at the University of Greenwich and Head of the Faculty of Engineering and Science. He provides a strategic lead for all of the International work of the University including its very successful Trans National Education provision. Professor Snowden also provides the leadership and strategic development of 4 major academic disciplines including Engineering, Pharmacy, Science and the Natural Resources Institute. He leads a team of 200 academic staff, providing a first class student experience to over 3000 students. Professor Snowden has published over 100 peer reviewed papers in the field of nanaoscience and formulation and has a h index of 36.
Hans Fecht is Chaired Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ulm, Germany, and Director of the “Institute of Micro and Nano-materials". He received his PhD at the University of Saarbrücken in 1984 and became professor at the University of Augsburg after postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the California Institute of Technology, USA. In 1993 he was appointed Full Professor at the Technical University Berlin and in 1997 at University of Ulm. He directs a group of about 30 academics, students, technicians and visitors. He has published more than 450 scientific papers, coordinated numerous national, European and international research projects and (co)organized a number of international workshops, symposia and conferences. Hans Fecht was awarded with the Leibniz Prize of the German Research Foundation (DFG), "Pioneer of Nanotechnology" (Deutsche Bank), the Innovation Award of the Association of German Engineers (VDI) and is member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. In addition, he is the office director of the EUREKA Cluster Metallurgy Europe.
Ennio gained his PhD in Applied Physics at Cranfield University (UK). In his research career he has worked on the development of nanobiosensors and on nanocomposites. In 2011 Ennio joined Elettra where he worked on manufacturing of optoelectronic devices and particularly their characterisation with synchrotron light. In 2013 Ennio joined ESRF as the IRT NanoElec Industrial Liaison Engineer and in 2016 became the Deputy Head of the BDO.
Miroslaw Kwiatkowski in 2004 obtained Ph.D. degree at the Faculty of Fuels and Energy, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, in the discipline: technology of chemistry. Currently he is working an assistant professor at the AGH University of Science and Technology, at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels. Main field of his interests is physical chemistry, mathematical modelling of the adsorption process, description of the porous structure, practical aspects of adsorption, an analysis of the influence of the production method on the formation of the porous structure of carbon adsorbents, numerical analysis, computer science, energy efficiency, renewable energies and problems connected with municipal waste management. His published work includes more than 40 papers in international journals and 72 conference proceedings. He is a member of the editorial board of internationals journals as well as a member of the Organizing Committee international conferences, and a regular reviewer in a reputable scientific scientific journals. Apart from scientific work Miros?aw Kwiatkowski also does some teaching. Runs classes on computer science, numerical methods, chemistry and is a tutor of a student scientific society called “Green Energy”.
Professor Der-Jang LIAW, Polymer Science Doctor (Ph.D. Polymer), is currently a Chair professor of Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). He holds his Master and Ph.D degrees in polymer science at Osaka University (Japan) and published about 360 SCI papers (h-index = 44 from ISI Web of Knowledge), 180 conference papers and 60 patents. In 2009, he was a recipient of the International Award from the Society of Polymer Science, Japan along with Prof. J. M. J. Frechet (USA) and Prof. K. Muellen (Germany). He received the Outstanding Polymer Academic Research Prize in 2012 and Lifetime Achievement Prize from The Polymer Society of Taiwan in 2013. He has been a fellow of The Polymer Society of Taiwan since 2014 and has been Academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering since 2011.
Dr Anshuman Srivastava, obtained his Ph.D in the field of Material Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, India. He has worked as a Joint Director (R and D), IIP Mumbai, Government of India. Presently, he is working as Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, SIET Allahabad, India. He has published many research papers in journals like Composites Science and Technology, Journal of Power Sources, Material Research Bulletin, Journal of composites and many others.
